Alexander, Arkansas police believe Mexican illegal immigrant Jose-Manuel Garcia Gonzalez raped a 5-year-old child before attempting to flee the country to avoid arrest.ManuelGonzalez

Gonzalez, known as Manuel Gonzalez, faces a charge of rape and sexual grooming after investigating a reported sexual assault of a 5-year-old child, though few other details are available, KATV reports.

“After investigating, police identified the suspect as Gonzalez, who has been living in Alexander and Benton over the past year,” according to the news site.

“While investigating, police determined that Gonzalez had found out about the investigation and might leave the country to avoid prosecution. So, Alexander PD contacted the U.S. Marshals Service to help them track down Gonzalez.”

Authorities caught up with the man May 11.

Gonzalez is only the latest immigrant to be charged with heinous crimes while living in the country illegally.

Three-time deportee Sergio Amador-Olive, 37, was arrested earlier this month at his Salt Lake City home for failing to register as a sex offender and his illegal immigration status, The American Mirror reports.

Amador-Olive – whose body is a tattooed collage of young girls in seductive poses mixed with creepy clowns and religious figures – was first convicted of impregnating a 15-year-old girl and removed from the U.S. to his native Mexico in 2003, only to re-enter and attempt to rape a co-worker two years later.

He went to prison for that crime, but was back out again by 2010, when he was arrested and deported to Mexico again. He was arrested in the U.S. a month later and sentenced to 51 months in federal prison and deported for a third time in 2014, according to an U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement statement touting the agency’s “profound and positive impact on overall public safety.”

Last month, three illegal immigrants from El Salvador – Yonatan Ramirez-Diaz, 20, Edwin Marquina-Valesquez, 26, and Melvin Ramirez-Morales, 20 – raped, assaulted and strangled three girls under the age of 14 in an Indiana hotel room for several hours, police told Fox 59.

Also in April, illegal immigrant Juan Razo, 36, pleaded guilty to 16 charges, including aggravated murder, for a crime spree in July that involved the attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl in a local park, and left one woman dead and another with a gunshot wound, according to Cleveland.com.

The American Mirror has highlighted other illegal immigrants who have been arrested in fatal hit-and-runs, sex assaults on young girls, and other similar incidents, including several who were previously deported.

All of the cases, of course, serve as evidence of a major immigration problem that presumptive Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump highlighted in announcing his run for the White House last summer.

“When Mexico sends it people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said, according to CBS News. “They’re sending people that have a lot of problems … they’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
