One-time vice presidential candidate Joe Lieberman didn’t leave the Democratic Party — they Democratic Party left him.
That is evident by his recent praise for President Trump and the administration’s efforts against Iran.
Lieberman was in Tirana, Albania this past weekend addressing Iranians who fled their homeland and are seeking freedom for the country.

“What I’m about to say, I’m saying as a Democrat,” he told the large audience of Iranians and foreign dignitaries, “and I’m saying it as somebody who did vote for Donald Trump in 2016 and it’s why I hope you believe I’m saying it with all the more sincerity.
“President Trump has been heroic and historic in taking the actions he has to break the Iran nuclear agreement, to impose sanctions on the Iranian government,” Lieberman said.
Liberman’s praise of Trump was met with strong applause from the Iranian ex-pats.
