Doesn’t every guy working the line in Detroit find the time and money to go to St. Croix twice in less than three months?

News surfaced on Friday that former vice president and potential 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden — who fancies himself as “Middle Class Joe” — sunned himself on the Caribbean island and pondered another run for president.

Hometown life reports:

Former South Lyon Mayor Tedd Wallace had just picked up some baked goods and was heading to the cashier at about 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Seaside Market and Deli in Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, when he saw a man he, as well as millions of Americans, would recognize, far from home.

Former U.S. Vice-President Joe Biden was weaving in and out of the aisles, searching for spaghetti sauce for his wife, Jill, who was already in line.

“I knew he had come to the island before, they have a house on the ocean here and I walked up to him,” Wallace said. “He was very gracious, very nice. I said, ‘Hello, I am a former mayor from Michigan and I have always admired you,’ and I have, for all the trauma he has gone through.”

The two “went over to a corner” to get a selfie.

But it’s not the first time Biden went to St. Croix this year.

Twitter user Derek Steyer posted several photos of Biden posing with fans, wearing red running shorts and a tennis shirt:

He was there over New Year’s and the local paper reports it was his sixth visit:

“They visited St. Croix in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and now 2018-19 that we know of,” the VI Free Press reported on January 3rd.
