MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski used a homophobic slur live on-air Wednesday morning, and it appears the network tried to cover it up.

During a segment on the show, Brzezinski was triggered by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s “response” to the murder of reporter Jamal Khashoggi.

After playing a clip of an interview Pompeo recently did on Fox News, Brzezinski called him a “wannabe dictator’s butt boy,” which drew massive outrage on social media.

“I understand that Donald Trump doesn’t care…. But why doesn’t Mike Pompeo care right now? Are the pathetic deflections that we just heard, when he appeared on Fox & Friends — is that a patriot speaking? Or a wannabe dictator’s butt boy?” she asked, with her eyes getting wide after realizing that she had made a homophobic slur on live television.

“I’m dead serious. I’m asking: Are these the words of a patriot?” she added, trying to back peddle.

Not only did her hubby Joe Scarborough refuse to acknowledge the remark, it appears MSNBC immediately tried to cover it up.

The closed captioning, which can be seen in the clip above, shows that her saying “or a wannabe dictator’s butt boy” was completely omitted.

Brzezinski issued a flimsy apology via Twitter soon after the segment scorched across Twitter.

“Totally agree with you -SUPER BAD choice of words .. I should have said “water boy”… like for football teams or something like that.. apologize to @SenatorDurbin too! SO SORRY!” she wrote.

Brzezinski’s homophobic comments come less than a week after the leftist mob online shunned comedian Kevin Hart into stepping down as host of the 2019 Ocsars over old tweets that some deemed homophobic.

Hart was essentially forced out of hosting the Oscar’s, which he said was a lifetime dream of his, for comments he made several years ago as a comedian.

Yet Brzezinski can make a horrendously homophobic slur on a major news outlet and nothing will likely happen to her because of it.
