A Mistake? I Doubt it. A parody perhaps? Nope. A hopelessly out of touch liberal elite using twitter to insult America’s millions of church-goers? Ding Ding Ding!

“A lot of people who are mad at Collin Kaepernick will be kneeling in church today,” says MSNBC’s Joy Reid, host of the network’s morning news show. Ms. Reid apparently sees those who kneel before the Lord in church, yet don’t support the NFL’s growing #Taketheknee movement, as hypocrites.

She made this stunningly inane moral equivalency on Sunday morning.

Millions on their knees in churches across the country will be doing so out of respect, as opposed to the blatant disrespect shown to the nation’s military and first responders, as seen in many of the NFL’s week 3 match-ups. Somehow though, I doubt Ms. Reid will concern herself with this distinction.

These sorts of sweeping generalities pulled out of thin air are, sadly, nothing new for her. In July of 2017, super sleuth Reid somehow managed to blame Venezuela’s meltdown on president Trump, despite offering no evidence of exactly how he is to blame.

In possibly her best whopper yet, Ms. Reid tweeted on August 27, 2017 during the aftermath of hurricane Harvey, her displeasure with the president. Ms. Reid apparently saw fit to chastise him for having “No FEMA director, no NOAA director and no head of DHS. Plus an administration filled with cronies and climate change deniers. Going great!”

Oops! Evidently her research staff forgot to inform her of the existence of  FEMA Director Brock Long, NOAA Head Benjamin Friedman, and DHS Head Elaine Duke. Oh well. It seems that when one is on a mission to discredit the president, one shouldn’t let facts stand in the way.
