No, Apple didn’t invent that — bureaucrats in Washington, DC did.

Nancy Pelosi was attempting to gloat about the virtues of spending taxpayer money on research when she claimed it was actually the federal government that created her iPhone.

“Anybody here have a smart phone,” Pelosi asked at the Democratic National Convention platform hearing.

“In this smart phone almost everything came from federal investments and research,” she said, holding up her iPhone.

Take THAT, Steve Jobs!

Reading from her notes and stumbling over some complex words, Pelosi said, “GPS, created by the military, flat screens, LLD (?), digital camera, wireless data compression,” and more.

She added, “Steve Jobs did a good job designing it and putting it together.

“Federal research invented it.”
