Look, kids, it’s the self-important Nancy Pelosi!

As the House Democratic Leader made her way onto the stage for a press conference on Thursday, she invited a group of children sitting in the front row to take a photo of her.

“They said the children couldn’t be able to ask a question,” Pelosi said as she strutted across the stage, “but you can take a picture.”

She struck a pose and smiled for the kids, adding, “So maybe we can segue that into the children asking a question.”

“A picture’s worth a thousand words,” a reporter flattered Pelosi.

Pelosi then went on to give the kids a revisionist history lesson.

“As you know, Washington is a place dedicated to honoring our founders and you see monuments and statues throughout the city or throughout the Capitol complex to that end and we do revere our founders and are grateful for their leadership and their vision.

“But what we do here, which is part of our founders’ vision, is to work for the future. So you are inspiration, you are our purpose,” she told the children.

“So thank you for being here today and for being a constant inspiration as to what our purpose is and our responsibility to our children.

“Our founders predicated their optimism on the fact that every generation would take responsibility to make the future better for the next generation,” Pelosi said.

“So, honoring the vows and committed to the aspiration of our children I welcome you and thank you for coming.

“Thank you for coming,” she repeated, adding, “And maybe we’ll break some rules today by having some questions from the kids.”
