Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks Fox News hosts are interested in talking about her because she’s an above average-looking 29-year-old female member of Congress, not because of her hilarious statements and disastrous policy proposals.

The Bronx socialist was tossed softballs by “Late Night” host Seth Myers this week and she didn’t hesitate to criticize the institution and her colleagues.

“One obsession, or a group of people that seem to have an obsession with you are our friends over at Fox News,” Myers said as Ocasio-Cortez agreed.

“They talk about you a lot. Are you surprised at the speed with which they seemed to have shifted all of their attention and programming to you?” he asked.

“I mean, it’s weird,” Ocasio-Cortez responded, “and like, like why are so many grown men just obsessed with this, like, 29-year-old, I mean, it’s, it’s great, I love the…” she trailed off as the audience laughed.

“I mean…” Myers said, apparently implying it has to do with Fox News hosts being perverted old men, and nothing to do with Ocasio-Cortez’s policy positions and rhetoric.

“On second thought,” Ocasio-Cortez responded, playing into the narrative to undercut an legitimate criticism.

“No, but I think it’s really funny,” she said.

Ocasio-Cortez went on to deny she is a “Manchurian candidate,” as has apparently been bandied about on the most watched cable news channel.

Earlier in the appearance, she mocked an anonymous colleague on the House Financial Services Committee who she says makes it a practice to ask witnesses whether they are a capitalist or a socialist.
