After saying her meeting with President Donald Trump was comparable to being peed on by a skunk, Rep. Nancy Pelosi said she got religious with the president.

While speaking to the press following an intense immigration debate at the White House, Pelosi said she told Trump to pray for Biblical “wisdom” to help him reach a deal with Democrats.

“I thought we would open the meeting with a prayer, which I did,” Pelosi said, apparently trying to portray herself as a religious person.

“I told him about King Solomon, when he was to become king of the Jews, he prayed to God, he said, ‘How can I ever follow King David? I need you to give me great understanding and wisdom, Lord.’ And after he prayed and prayed and prayed, God came to him and said, ‘Solomon, because you did not ask for longevity, great wealth, or vengeance against your enemies, I will give you more wisdom than anyone has ever had.’ The wisdom of Solomon,” she continued, mumbling and slurring her words in what seemed like a story that she only recently learned.

Pelosi then claimed she was trying to be “prayerful” during the meeting and just wanted to “listen” so that she could “have an understanding of where people are coming from on all of this.”

After acting as if she’s a tolerant religious person who just wants civility, the California progressive then attacked Trump for being “obsessed with the wall.”

“How many times did he mention the word wall? That’s all he could say. How many times did he mention that? How obsessed he is with the wall,” she said, blankly staring at the camera as if she wanted an answer to her own question.

“It is not the right thing to do. It is the wrong thing to do and he shouldn’t do it no matter what he thinks of his campaign promise,” Pelosi said, urging the president to break his promise to voters.

Just prior to attempting to invoke morality, the multicultural lawmaker accidentally said “Christmas” but immediately corrected herself because she can’t afford to upset a single Democrat or she’ll lose her bid for the Speakership.

“We have a ‘Trump Shutdown’ as a Christmas present,” she said before pausing to correct herself, “a holiday present to the American people.”

Pelosi said she was the “mom” of the meeting and bizarrely described it as a “tinkle contest.”

“I was trying to be the mom,” she said. “It goes to show you: you get into a tinkle contest with a skunk, you get tinkle all over you.”

The California Democrat also took a shot at Trump’s “manhood” when speaking with her colleagues.

“It’s like a manhood thing with him — as if manhood can be associated with him,” she scoffed with a blank face while staring at the press. “This wall thing.”

“The press is all there! Chuck is really shouting out. I was trying to be the mom. I can’t explain it to you. It was so wild,” she said. “But the fact is we did get him to say, to fully own that the shutdown was his. That was an accomplishment.”

Trump, Pelosi, Vice President Mike Pence, and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer spoke earlier on Tuesday in the Oval Office about passing a bill to prevent the government from shutting down just before Christmas.

Trump wants $5 billion for border wall funding and Democrats are only agreeing to $1.6 billion, which they claim is a “very generous” offer.

Throughout the meeting, Trump bluntly challenged the Democrats, saying at one point, “If we don’t get what we want, I will shut down the government … I am proud to shut down the government for border security. I will take the mantle. I will be the one to shut it down. And I’m gonna shut it down for border security.”

A few hours before Pelosi got religious, called herself the “mom” of the group, and compared the meeting to being peed on by a skunk, the 79-year-old progressive had a much different tune when she was face-to-face with Trump.

Throughout the entire meeting, Pelosi and Schumer refused to look at Trump and instead were playing for the cameras.
