If Hillary Clinton is elected president, the American government will be available to the highest bidder, Donald Trump said Wednesday night.

During a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Trump hit Clinton’s record of raking in money during and after her tenure as Secretary of State, and believes that’s a taste of what’s to come if she has full control of the federal bureaucracy.

“Everything you need to know about Hillary Clinton can be understood with this simple phrase: Follow the money,” Trump said.

“In her campaign for president, Hillary Clinton has received $100 million in contributions from Wall Street and the hedge funds.

“She received $4.1 million in speaking fees from financial firms. The same groups paying Bill and Hillary for their speeches were lobbying the federal government,” he said.

“Twenty-two groups paying Bill Clinton for speeches lobbied the State Department while Hillary was Secretary of State.

“And don’t forget the Clinton contributors who were appointed to advisory boards by the secretary or all the favors and access was granted. And guess what? They wrote checks,” Trump said.

He pointed out how Secretary Clinton negotiated uranium and how it is controlled by the Russians.

“She disgraced the office of Secretary of State by putting it up for sale — and if she ever got the chance, she’d put the Oval Office up for sale, too” he said.

“We can’t let that happen.”
