How convenient that Melissa Harris-Perry, MSNBC’s resident race conspiracy theorist, would be on the air the day America is scouring for details about a gunman who stormed a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado Friday.

For Perry and her guests, the murky circumstances can only mean a few things: White privilege! War on women! Gun privilege!

Grabien produced a mashup video of some of the highlights of Perry’s Saturday coverage of the attack.

MSNBC’s Irin Carmon noted the attack took place in Colorado Springs — a place she dubbed “the evangelical Vatican” and brought up the fact that Focus on the Family has its headquarters there. (So does the U.S. Olympic Committee, but to Carmon, they obviously aren’t Christian enough to commit such a heinous act.)

She also claimed there are “many mega churches” there because, well, you know, Christians…!

A male guest said he was “certain” the attack had a “political agenda,” and that it was “fueled by the extremist rhetoric.”

Alexis McGill Johnson, a board member of Planned Parenthood, told Perry that the “extremist rhetoric has put Planned Parenthood in the cross hairs.” She also blamed “microaggressions that we experience as women.”

Vanderbilt professor Jonathan Metzl said, “open carry laws make it much harder for law enforcement to do their jobs.” He later dubbed the act “white terrorism” and described that as “where people are literally terrorized.” Like, totally!

“You can’t differentiate between a Muslim terrorist or a Christian terrorist,” another guest insisted.

Terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance claimed the shootings are “absolutely” an act of terrorism — and “ideologically,” Islamic terrorists and pro-life activists are “almost the same.”

So far, the suspect’s motivations, ideology and religion (or lack thereof) have not been reported. But that clearly doesn’t stop MSNBC from filling the vacuum with its predetermined narrative.

Even Planned Parenthood executives say what these talking heads don’t want to hear.

“We have no reason to believe that this center was targeted for anything at all,” CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains Vicki Cowart told CNN Friday.
