Rule number one for political propagandists is to be sure the boss knows what to do.

That didn’t seem to be the case today as House Speaker and a contingent of Democrats visited the border today to engage in a ceremonial hug with Mexican leaders from the other side.

Video shows Pelosi walking along down the middle of a bridge near Laredo, Texas, holding an American flag.

She met a local leader from the other side and the two met mid-way.

After hugging, the two exchanged flags. Yes, the House Speaker held a Mexican flag for the cameras.

As the two posed for photos, Pelosi muttered, motioning twice for him to come to the American side, but he didn’t.

The two stood stiffly in the middle of the bridge, with Pelosi not inching over a divider through the road, presumably the actual border.

At least Pelosi’s moment was as awkward as President Obama’s in 2016, which was like something out of a Three Stooges episode.

The American president, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto — the so-called “3 Amigos” — were hoping to look like the North American tough guys after the establishment-shaking Brexit vote the week before.

Instead, they looked like Larry, Moe and Curly.

Hands were flying, left hands were shaking, other hands were just dangling, waiting for any touch from a fellow leftist — it was almost as if someone’s hand was going to windmill and hit somebody else on top of the head.
