If what happened Thursday night is any indication, Democrats really want to know what Hillary Clinton said to Wall Street bankers that got her those big speaking fees.

And CNN achieved a rare coup Thursday night: they got the audience to cheer the QUESTION and not the ANSWER.

Dana Bash asked, “If there is nothing in those speeches that you think would change voters minds…”

One attendee bellowed a hearty “yeah!”

“…why not just release the transcripts and put this whole issue to bed?”

The crowd went wild.

Hillary began to answer but had to stop amid the boisterous cheers.

“First of all, there isn’t an issue,” she said to a few heckles.

When she didn’t answer the question and instead claimed to be the one who’s stood up to banks, and tried to turn the question into an attack on the socialist Sanders, the crowd began to boo.

As Clinton went on, Bash attempted to cut in and steer her back to the actual question, which she clearly was trying to avoid answering.

“Secretary Clinton, the question was about the transcripts of the speeches to Goldman Sachs,” Bash said as the crowd began to cheer loudly again. “Why not release them?”

She then tried to turn it into a call for Bernie Sanders to release his tax returns.

“Just to put a button on this,” Bash interjected again, “you’re running now for the Democratic nomination, “and it is your Democratic opponent and many Democratic voters who want to see those transcripts. It’s not about the Republicans,” she said to more wild cheers.

After saying she wants the same standard for tax returns, the crowd booed Hillary.
