A anti-Planned Parenthood walk led by Christians was crashed by diaper-wearing satanists.
Christians were walking and singing in Ferndale, Michigan on Saturday when a group of about 10 people wearing baby masks — some clad in nothing but an adult diaper — began dancing and writhing around on the sidewalk.
Members of the Satanic Temple of Detroit posted the video, saying it was in response to Saturday’s nationwide Planned Parenthood protest.
After engaging in “group flagellation,” the satanists “were then painted gold by adoring fetal idolizers. The action was intended to expose fetal idolatry and the perpetuation of fictional, coercive propaganda against the reproductive health organization.”
The Temple staged the pro-abortion protest in response to what they call “the anti-choice movement’s obsession with and mischaracterization of the fetus obscures medical reality and a woman’s constitutional right to choice.
“Enlarged images of fetuses no larger than an inch and the personalization of mindless, senseless human embryos elevates the fetus to the status of a demigod. The strategy of elevating tiny human embryos and fetuses to a reverence creates a fantasy in which the maternal body is both erased and criminalized,” the group says.
Kimberly Shmina, one of those walking with the St. James Catholic Church group, says she was ready for counter protesters, but not that.
“You will see me covering my child’s eye as we turn and process back to the church,” she writes on Facebook.
“I pray for those who had the courage to stay to pray for those making a mockery of us and of God…I urge all Christian to pay attention to this, and we need you at these protests!!!”
