Hillary Clinton may be narrowly ahead in some national polls, but Donald Trump has the enthusiasm advantage by a landslide.
Houston Chronicle reporter Mark Collette tweeted an astonishing video of the massive line of fans waiting in a half-mile long line in 97 degree temperatures.
That’s a half mile of @realDonaldTrump line, y’all, in 117 deg. heat index. pic.twitter.com/FycB3UqM6e

As Collette notes, the heat index was actually a withering 117 degrees before the Houston, Texas event at The Woodlands.
The Chronicle’s Dylan Baddour reported a woman was taken away on a stretcher, presumably from heat exhaustion.
Jenna Johnson of the Washington Post tweeted a similar report about the lengthy line.
The line for Donald Trump's rally in Houston is now nearly half a mile long: pic.twitter.com/U03qqLotJY

Buzz Feed’s Jim Dalrymple tweeted another shot of the line, which snaked around a corner:
This is not even half the line to get into Trump’s Houston rally. And it’s still getting longer. pic.twitter.com/UaL7pVr1Ab

Media reports indicate only a few protesters had assembled prior to the rally.
