Some folks want to parachute out of a plane or visit the Egyptian pyramids before they die.

KurtisLawOthers, like Detroit’s Kurtis Law, apparently aspire for more unconventional thrills.

When Michigan State Police finally caught up with the 33-year-old after a dangerous car chase through the city, he allegedly told a trooper that “running from the cops was on my bucket list,” Fox 2 reports.

Law, a career criminal, was driving erratically in a 2014 Dodge Challenger near Interstate 96 and Greenfield Road around 1 a.m. Thursday when police attempted to pull him over and he refused to stop, MSP told MLive.com.

“The driver lost control of the vehicle a short time later and went up a curb, but kept going for a short distance,” according to state police. “Realizing he wasn’t getting away, he stopped his vehicle near Glastonbury and Wadsworth” – about a mile from where the chase started.

Law was arrested without incident and lodged in the Detroit Detention Center on charges of fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstructing police, possession of marijuana, and second offense of driving without a license, Fox 2 reports.

He previously spent two years in prison for a felony firearms conviction, and has a history of other felony weapons and drug convictions. He was arraigned as a four time habitual offender.

MSP Lt. Mike Shaw discussed Law’s very expensive life goal with WWJ News Radio, according to CBS Detroit.

“I guess he was just being honest that he wanted to cross this off his list,” he said. “But now his vehicle has been impounded and he faces felony charges as far as fleeing to elude and some other charges.”

“So this may have been something that he thought about doing at the very beginning – thinking it was a joke – but I’m pretty confident that he doesn’t think it’s a joke any longer,” Shaw said

Folks who commented about Law’s predicament online, however, seemed to get a kick out of it.

“Hopefully jail time is on his bucket list,” Leland Ivy wrote.

“Already checked that box, so he must’ve liked it,” UWong countered.

“He should’ve saved that one for last,” Kim Phillips posted to Facebook. “Now he won’t be able to scratch the rest off his list because he’ll be in jail for some time.”

“Now you’re really on the bucket list,” Mark Cordero wrote, “mop bucket in the county jail.”

“What an idiot … it makes one wonder what goes through some people’s minds,” Robb Hughes posted.
