House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is arguably facing the strongest political headwinds of her career and appears to be trying to win over more votes in her party by vowing to support a sweeping amnesty plan.

Pelosi and Rep. John Sarbanes, D-MD, co-wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post and vowed that Democrats will prioritize amnesty for “patriotic” Dreamers and “take the first step” toward passing an amnesty bill in the next Congress.

In the piece, the two Democrats detailed their party’s top priorities when they take over the U.S. House of Representatives in January, vowing to “pass the Dream Act to protect the patriotic young undocumented immigrants who came here as children, and take the first step toward comprehensive immigration reform.”

Pelosi and Sarbanes also boasted about how they will “reform ethics laws,” rein in “dark money” in politics, push for “more campaign finance laws,” and pass voting rights legislation.

The plan to provide amnesty for “patriotic” Americans will likely create a major battle in Congress.

Former President Barack Obama bypassed Congress and signed an executive order that created the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which provided sweeping amnesty for hundreds of thousands of children who were brought to the U.S. by their parents, who are also illegal aliens.

The children are often referred to as “Dreamers.”

DACA is a controversial program that many argue is unconstitutional, and President Donald Trump ended the program last September, but left-wing judges ruled that the Trump administration must reinstate the program.

Beyond that, Pelosi’s op-ed glorifying these “patriotic” Dreamers came on the same day that a large group of migrants were attempting to storm into the country at the San Ysidro port of entry, which connects Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, with assistance from some of the troops Trump sent to the border, closed the port of entry and used tear gas in an attempt to send the migrants back toward Mexico.

A video clip uploaded to Twitter from The Reagan Battalion shows several of the migrants throwing rocks at the border toward U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Pelosi and Democrats have largely defended the caravan and have only condemned the Trump administration for being too mean to the migrants chunking rocks at U.S. officials, which is a felony and could cause serious harm.

As the Democratic leader is trying to win over more members of her party to ensure she has enough votes to become Speaker of the House, it appears her plans are to endorse more left-wing policies.

Rather than talk about border wall funding, Pelosi is apparently only interested in giving protections to illegal aliens.
