Former vice president Joe Biden believes no man has the right to put his hands on a woman, at least in America.

In other countries like Kenya, lawmakers there can draw their own lines, Biden said.

“There has to be red lines drawn, in my opinion, beyond which no man has a right to go,” Biden told a crowd in Kenya in 2010. “That’s why I wrote the Violence Against Women Act.

“No man, in my country, in my view, no man, has a right to raise his hand to a woman for any reason other than self defense,” he said. “Under no circumstances, no circumstances.

“I’m speaking for my country,” the then vice president lectured. “You make up your own decisions, so I don’t want to hear the record say Biden came and lectured Kenya on what they should do.”

The video is among a flood of past footage from the 76-year-old career politician to surface in recent months as he vies with two dozen Democrats to take on Trump in 2020.

Other embarrassing videos include a clip of Biden bragging about his ability to force Ukrainian officials to do what he wants. Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations last year that he threatened to withhold U.S. aid to Ukraine during his tenure as VP in a successful bid to pressure officials there to fire a prosecutor who was investigating corruption at Burisma Holdings, which paid Biden’s son millions during his time in the Obama administration.

There’s also a 2006 video of Biden explaining he doesn’t “view abortion as choice and a right. I think it’s always a tragedy” – a position that riles progressives in his party.

Biden was also forced to confront another video from the 1990s in which he described the impeachment of former president Bill Clinton as a “lynching,” just moments after lecturing President Trump for using the same word.

Biden’s 2020 run has also created plenty cringe worthy clips that continue to plague the campaign.

Last month in Ohio, Biden’s teeth came loose in his mouth, and days later he told the members of the Chicago Teachers Union he’s proud of them for “working like the devil.”

Earlier this month, the former VP promised folks he’d “make sure that we rejoin the Paris Peace Accord on day one,” obviously confusing the agreement that ended World War II with the Paris Climate Accord, a United Nations scheme to control the climate through restrictions of fossil fuels. Trump withdrew the U.S. from the agreement in 2017.

Other recent flubs include Biden claiming he’ll win North Carolina just like Obama did (he didn’t), confusing his alma mater, promises to “do better” than first place in the Democratic primary in New Hampshire, and his vow to ban all firearms with magazines that hold “100 clips.”

Then, at a town hall in Las Vegas on Saturday, Biden became the only Democrat candidate unwilling to legalize marijuana because he contends there’s not “enough evidence” to determine “whether or not it is a gateway drug.”
