Joe Biden’s flubs on the campaign trail are becoming such a joke that even the former vice president himself is poking fun at the nonstop gaffes.

“We are so close. We are so close to being able to do some incredible things for this country, incredible things,” Biden recently told his supporters in New Hampshire.

“I just spoke at Dartmouth on healthcare,” he said. “At the medical school, or, I guess it wasn’t actually on the campus. People from the medical school were there. I want to be clear I’m not going nuts. I’m not sure if it was the medical school or where the hell I spoke, but it was on the campus.

“It was on the campus and the deans were all there,” he said as the crowd erupted in laughter.

CNN Politics Network posted video of the remarks to YouTube with no description.

Biden’s attempt to reassure his followers he’s not losing his mind comes as little consolation for many folks who have followed his non-stop parade of misstatements, confusion and politically incorrect ramblings that have characterized his campaign.

In recent weeks, Biden has alleged Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. were assassinated in the 1970s, mourned the lives lost in tragic shootings in Houston and Michigan when they occurred in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio. He’s also confused Burlington, Iowa with Burlington, Vermont.

Biden told a recent gun forum in Des Moines that he met with the survivors of the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida “when I was vice president,” only to backtrack days later when folks pointed out it occurred the year after he left office.

On Friday, Biden flubbed a prepared speech in New Hampshire when he said “we’ll make sure it’s not quality” when referring to his healthcare plan. Reading from a teleprompter, Biden also promised “working class people” will see their insurance premiums increase under his plan.

He later corrected the errors, arguing his plan will offer healthcare “quality that’s affordable,” The American Mirror reports.

The next day, it was more of the same.

When a “climate change” protestor interrupted his remarks in Keene, New Hampshire, to demand “no fracking, no fracking,” the 76-year-old career politician offered a bizarre response that prompted nervous laughter.

“Alright, well, look, you can frack with me later, okay?” Biden said.

During the same stop, Biden processed his love for the “Vermont” town.

“I’ve been here a number of times, last time was, I think, uh, all the way back in 2014, but I’ve been here before that,” Biden told reporters in a video posted to Twitter.

“I love this place,” he said. “Look, what’s not to like about Vermont, in terms of the beauty of it?

“What a neat town … I like Keene a lot,” Biden said without correcting himself.

Phil Johnston, former chairman of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts, told the Boston Herald Biden’s near daily mistakes are eating into his credibility and it’s no joke.

“It’s a cause for concern if you’re running for president, especially if you’re not sure what state you’re in,” he said. “We all love him and respect him, but in 2020 we have to make sure the nominee is up to the task of taking on President Trump.”

Jonhston said he’s skeptical Biden can get it done.

“He needs to show he’s up to the task of being president, day-in and day-out for the next 14 months,” Johnston said. “If he continues to make these mistakes, many people will be concerned.”

“What he has to be careful of now is that people don’t think these gaffes reflect a problem of his mental acuity,” Tobe Berkowitz, Boston University professor who has worked on Democratic political campaigns, told the Herald.
