Hillary Clinton was just Chaka Fattah’s style.

The Philadelphia congressman endorsed Clinton in February, tweeting, “For Philly & America’s Metro Regions, @HillaryClinton is the very best choice for president,” and is a superdelegate.

Now, Fattah will have to do any campaigning for his candidate as a convict.

The Week reports:

Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-Pa.) was found guilty Tuesday of all 29 corruption counts he faced during his trial, including taking bribes and using federal funds to pay off personal and political debts.

Fattah was accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars through tactics like mail fraud, money laundering, conspiracy, bank fraud, and falsified records. The money came from federal grants, campaign contributions, and charitable donations, according to prosecutors.

“This has been an eight-year effort by some in the Department of Justice to link my public service career to some form of wrongdoing,” Fattah said in denying the charges against him.

He remains a member of Congress — and an employee of taxpayers. He will “likely face pressure to resign,” according to The Hill.
