American Christian evangelist Franklin Graham is calling out President Obama for pursuing a political agenda that’s “against Christ and against His teachings,” Newsmax reports.

grahamandobamaGraham, the fourth of renowned evangelist Billy Graham’s five children and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV that while Obama claims to be a Christian, he doesn’t walk the walk.

“First of all, the president, when he was growing up, his influences were Islam,” Graham told the show Monday. “His parental father is Muslim, his stepfather was a Muslim, he went to Muslim school.

“His formative years were all guided by the influences of Islam,” Graham said. “So his Christian position I don’t know.”

What is obvious, however, is Obama’s policies don’t jibe with God’s will, he said.

“All I know is that the policies that he has stood behind as president have been against Christ and against His teachings,” Graham said. “Abortion is a sin and if you look at same-sex marriage, this is a sin against God and the president has stood defiantly against God and against His teachings and the teachings of Scripture.”

Graham’s comments are the latest in a long line of criticisms about Islam and Obama dating back to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. In the wake the attacks, Graham referred to Islam as “a very evil and wicked religion” during an interview with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

And he expounded his views during an interview with CNN’s Campbell Brown in 2009.

“True Islam cannot be practiced in this country,” he said. “You can’t beat your wife. You can not murder your children if you think they’ve committed adultery or something like that, which they do practice in these other countries.”

He also spoke about Obama’s faith during a 2010 CNN interview with John King.

“I think the president’s problem is that he was born a Muslim, his father was a Muslim. The seed of Islam is passed through the father like the seed of Judaism is passed through the mother,” Graham said. “He was born a Muslim, his father gave him an Islamic name.”

Graham has said he accepts the president’s claim to be Christian, but also repeatedly points out the president’s ties with questionable characters in his administration.

“Now it’s obvious that the president has renounced the prophet Mohammed, and he has renounced Islam, and he has accepted Jesus Christ. That’s what he says he has done,” Graham said. “I cannot say that he hasn’t. So I just have to believe that the president is what he has said.”

But Graham told Newsmax in 2011 that Obama has “allowed the Muslim Brotherhood to become part of the US government and influence administration decisions.”

“The Muslim Brotherhood is very strong and active in our country,” Graham said. “It’s infiltrated every level of our government. Right now we have many of these people that are advising the US military and State Department on how to respond in the Middle East, and it’s like asking a fox, like a farmer asking a fox, ‘How do I protect my henhouse from foxes?’ We’ve brought in Muslims to tell us how to make policy toward Muslim countries. And many of these people we’ve brought in, I’m afraid, are under the Muslim Brotherhood.”
