Hillary Clinton may want to rethink brushing off debates, as they may be the only way she can attract a decent sized crowd.

The Democratic front runner was only able to scrounge up only “about 250 people” Tuesday in La Crosse, Wisconsin — a state that claims 5.75 million residents.

“I’m a progressive who likes to make progress, ” she told the crowd, WKBT reports.

And not to be out socialisted by the socialist senator Bernie Sanders, Clinton vowed, “My view is, we’re gonna tax the wealthy. We’re going to ask wealthy people to pay for their own kid’s college and we’re going to make it possible for you kids to go without having to borrow a dime to pay tuition.”

The news station reports Clinton spoke to students at Western Technical College, but there appeared to be very few young people in attendance. In fact, at one point in the news report, some younger people could be seen either leaving early, or passing through the room without stopping to see what all the commotion was about.

The Washington Free Beacon reports, during Clinton’s introduction, State Sen. Jennifer Shilling “asked the crowd to sound enthusiastic.”

“I am proud to say, without hesitation, I’m with her,” Shilling said with Clinton at her side. “Can we all say that together on the count of three with an enthusiasm?”

“One, two, three,” Shilling said, and the crowd mumbled back, “I’m with her.”

Things we’re much better in Milwaukee — the most populated city in the state.

Bloomberg’s “With All Due Respect” noted Clinton didn’t fill a gymnasium.

“In Milwaukee, the place where she should be doing the strongest, didn’t even fill the gym. Not even a couple hundred people at most,” John Heilemann noted.

“Maybe 300 people, being generous,” Mark Halperin responded.

Heilemann said Sanders had 3,000 in the less populated Appleton, Wisconsin.
