At least she didn’t say she was dodging sniper fire as she made her way to the bombed out hotel.
Hillary Clinton repeated what — in 2009 — was exposed to be a fake story, to a group of students in Belfast on Wednesday.

“One of the most vivid memories of the entire eight years in the White House,” Clinton said breathlessly at Queen’s University, before claiming the presidential entourage arrived at the Europa hotel to “to see windows boarded up and parts of the hotel uninhabitable because of recent bombings.”
That wasn’t true.
It turns out Hillary repeated the same fake story in 2009, and was called out then, as well.
The Telegraph reported in October 2009:
The US Secretary of State claimed that when she had stayed at the infamous hotel, known as Europe’s most bombed hotel, it had been devastated by an explosion.
She had claimed that during the whirlwind visit to Northern Ireland in 1995, with her husband Bill when he was US President, the hotel, was known as “the Hardboard Hotel”, had been “boarded up” because of the bomb damage.
But doubt has since been cast on the claims, made during a speech last week, after it emerged the last Provisional IRA bomb to damage the hotel was detonated in 1993, two years before the couple stayed there.
A spokesman claimed she was trying to express a sincere “perception” about the troubles in Northern Ireland.
“When Bill and I first came to Belfast, we stayed at the Europa Hotel … even though then there were sections boarded up because of damage from bombs,” she said during the 2009, according to the paper.
Martin Mulholland, who was the head concierge at the Europa, tells JOE, “The hotel was spotless. There had been no bombs and there was no scaffolds or wooden boards or anything like that when they came.
“The place was spotless. The only security or boards that went up were the ones put up by Bill Clinton’s secret service team.”
