Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar used a portion of her presidential campaign announcement to rant about “climate change,” but the optics proved strange as she was covered in snow.

Holding her announcement rally outside in Minneapolis, Klobuchar told supporters, “The people are on our side when it comes to climate change.”

“Why? Because like you and I, they believe in science. That’s why in the first 100 days of my administration, I will reinstate the clean power rules, and the gas mileage standards, and put more sweeping legislation to invest in green jobs and infrastructure,” she said during the windy snow storm.

“And on Day 1, we will rejoin the international climate agreement,” she added, referring to the Paris deal struck by Obama and canceled by Trump.

President Trump didn’t let the irony slide, and took to Twitter to zing the senator.

“Well, it happened again. Amy Klobuchar announced that she is running for President, talking proudly of fighting global warming while standing in a virtual blizzard of snow, ice and freezing temperatures. Bad timing. By the end of her speech she looked like a Snowman(woman)!” Trump tweeted on Sunday.
