California Congresswoman Maxine Waters is so blinded by her hatred of President Donald Trump that Russian pranksters managed to dupe the career politician not once, but twice, since 2017.

YouTubers Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, known as Vovan and Lexus, are best known for tricking House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff into soliciting naked pictures of President Trump from Ukraine in 2018.

On Thursday, the duo released a video of their purported conversation with Waters and her staffers in December, when they posed as teen climate alarmist Greta Thunberg and her father. Vovan and Lexus convinced Waters the climate change activist recorded a call with President Trump in which he admitted to pressuring Ukraine to investigate Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden, and Waters couldn’t wait to get her hands on the evidence.

The two convinced Waters that “Greta” hosted a climate strike for the imaginary island of “Chunga Changa,” where “thousands of people came to meet me.”

“I am very glad that my cause finds so much support,” “Greta” said. “I was in California last week and it was so great.”

“Of course, I know all about you,” Waters gushed after thanking “Greta” for visiting her state. “You have made quite a big, big, big thunder on this issues. I am really, really very proud of you and the work that you’re doing.”

“Greta” and her father told Waters the two were in a climate change meeting in North Carolina and convinced her she was on speaker phone, goading her into supporting the climate strike for “Chunga Changa” Island.

“I think it will be great honors for them to hear you so you can say some words of support to all the people who came here to support the problems of the wonderful island, and the ecology of the world,” “Greta” told the congresswoman.

“Which island are they targeting?” Waters asked.

“Chunga Changa,” “Greta’s” father replied.

“That island is particularly threatened. Ok,” Waters said. “So let me get started, ok?”

“Hello everybody, this is Congresswoman Maxine Waters. I am so pleased to be on this telephone call with Greta Thunberg. I am just so proud of her and her father, Svante, and the work that they are doing,” Waters continued. “Greta … has been the greatest advocate for what is happening with our climate and the environment, and I’m very pleased she’s with you in North Carolina where you are focusing on protecting the very important island of Chunga Changa.

“So I certainly think she should win the Nobel Peace Prize for what she is doing,” Waters gushed. “But what is most important right now is that you all there who are working so hard on this issue to make sure that island is protected is you give her all of the support that you can possibly give her, because she is giving you all the support she can give to you.”

After Waters heaped more praise on “Greta,” the pranksters asked the congresswoman to personally intervene in their efforts to save the fake island, and Waters was more than willing to help out.

“Now that I’m focused on it, I’m going to do everything we can, thanks to you,” Waters said.

The pranksters also concocted a story about Greta meeting with Trump during the recent UN climate summit in New York and alleged the president made the teen cry.

“He came over, he leaned towards me, and said softly, ‘listen to me carefully, little girl, you will never achieve your goals,’” “Greta” told Waters.

“He said you will never achieve your goals? Oh my goodness!” Waters exclaimed.

“Greta’s” fake father then chimed in with claims the two recorded the conversation, which also included an alleged confession from Trump about pressuring Ukraine to investigate Biden.

“He said to her, ‘You know, little girl, nobody believe you anyway, I will tell you the truth,’” “Greta’s” father told Waters. “I really pushed on Ukrainian president and you know that you will never achieve your goals like those congressional fools that accuse me.”

“Oh my God, he mentioned the Ukrainian president?” Waters said, shocked.

The lawmaker then invited the two to her DC office to share the evidence. The pranksters promised to meet up soon, and offered “Greta” to testify before Congress, if need be.

“Oh yes, I am absolutely still working – we are working very hard, we’re putting together the facts, and we’re going after him. We are going to try everything we have to impeach him,” Waters aid.

“And if the public knew that he talked to Greta like that, he made her cry, and told her she would never achieve – this will go against him, too,” Waters said.

“You bring it to me,” she said, referring to the alleged recording. “You tell me what day you can get there. And we’ll arrange to meet with you as quickly as we can.”

Breitbart reports the stunt was the second time Vovan and Lexus had punked Waters. In 2017, the duo posed as the Prime Minister of Ukraine to discuss Russian sanctions with a woman identified as Waters.
