During a chat show appearance this morning, Maxine Waters admitted to committing fraud so she could obtain a Social Security card.

Waters appeared on “The Real” on Tuesday and told the ladies she lied about her age in order to get the card and a job in a St. Louis restaurant.

She told the group she was a busser at an “all-white” restaurant.

Waters, one of 13 children, said, “We were all looking for jobs during the summer.

“We would put our ages up. I was about 14 years old and I lied, said I was 16 so I could get a Social Security card.”

The California congresswoman didn’t say who she lied to in order to obtain the card.

“The Real” women were outraged when Waters said the workers were not allowed to eat in the restaurant.

“I don’t think I would have did good back in them days,” co-host NeNe Leakes said.

They then linked the restaurant policy to segregation.
