Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has to wait 6 years to run for president, but Michael Moore wants to amend the Constitution so she can run next year.
Claiming even the MSNBC cameraman could beat Donald Trump, the socialist filmmaker said the discussion needs to be about who can “crush” the President in 2020.
“It’s too bad that you have to be 35 to be President. You know, they put that in the Constitution, the Founding Fathers, because people died at 38 or 40 back then,” Moore claimed.
“You know, we need to lower that,” he said.
“If that was lowered to 30…”
“Alright, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, is that where you’re going with it?” host Ali Velshi asked.
“Could be running, could be running,” Moore responded. “She just has to be 30 by the time— by the time January 2021 comes around.”
“She is the leader, everybody knows it,” Moore said of the Bronx socialist, “everybody feels it, she’s the leader of this mass movement.”
Moore disputed the notion that Ocasio-Cortez is too “progressive”, telling “moderates” to stop being moderate and “take a position.”
“There’s no middle ground anymore,” he warned.
