MSNBC host Joy Reid and her guest Elie Mystal spent an entire segment fantasizing about the best way to “get” President Donald Trump.

During an interview on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” the two liberals began by discussing Ivanka Trump, the president’s daughter, being in the “cross hairs” and possibly arrested.

“This is the first time that we have Ivanka in the cross hairs,” Mystal said with Reid nodding her head in agreement.

“The only way we’re really going to get to Trump is if you go after his kids. And this [going after Ivanka] could be the way to do it,” he added.

Mystal argued that federal prosecutors should go after Ivanka over allegations that she was involved in cutting deals with Trump inaugural committee members to stay at the Trump International Hotel.

Mystal went on to claim that Ivanka is the only one of Trump’s children that he likes and that going after her was the best way to “get” Trump.

“This is the first time that we have Ivanka—which is like the only kid he likes—in the cross hairs. She apparently, according to these reports, was involved with overcharging the inaugural committee, and somebody had to tell her: this is going to look bad when we get audited,” he said.

“For a long time I thought that the only way we are really going to get to Trump is if you go after his kids. If you put the kids in legal peril, that’s the only thing that’s going to shock him out of his lying, deceitful, cocoon. And this could be the way to do it,” he added.

Reid follow-up by suggesting a plot to go after Ivanka.

“There is this finding that people — we’re going to talk about this later in the show — that you can’t indict a sitting President. But it doesn’t say anything about a sitting President’s daughter,” she said.

For nearly two years, it was about alleged “Russia collusion.” After no evidence to support that claim, now the left wants Trump impeached and his family should face legal troubles over allegations of campaign finance violations.

As reported by Politico in 2013, “President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign was fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for campaign reporting violations — one of the largest fees ever levied against a presidential campaign.”

Obama was hit with arguably the largest fees ever levied against a presidential campaign for violations and not a single person went to jail.

When Obama was found guilty of breaking campaign finance laws, it was no problem. There were no calls for Obama to be impeached and removed from office.

When Trump is accused of the same thing, Democrats want him impeached from office and his family, primarily Ivanka, to face jail time.
