What is wrong with the next Speaker of the House?

Nancy Pelosi left many scratching their heads after her weekly press conference today where she botched President George H.W. Bush’s name, called him a “statement,” suffered a brain freeze and marred several words.

“We grieve the loss of a great statement — statesman and leader,” Pelosi told reporters, before call Bush “President Butch.”

She suffered a brain freeze while praising Bush, before blurting out “impact,” adding he was a “trail-blading — blazing leader.”

Moments later, she appeared to be out of breath as she let out a large sigh in the middle of a thought about Bush’s funeral.

She said, “It was beautiful. It was lovely and bi-partisan and unifying for our country,” strangely adding, “So as we are inspired once again by that as we was— were by the passing of Sen. McCain.”

Why are Democrats only inspired by Republicans when they die?

When asked about trade, Pelosi devolved into gibberish.

She said U.S. trade representative Robert Lighthizer has been “very open” to discussion, before changing her thought and uttering unintelligible words to describe a bill.

Pelosi is poised to become second in line to the presidency in January when Democrats make her Speaker of the House once more.
