House Speaker Nancy Pelosi took to the floor today to insert her own version of the call transcript between President Trump and the president of Ukraine into the congressional record.

Standing next to a sign with an American flag and a portion of the Pledge of Allegiance, Pelosi said, “And he said to the president, he could make— do me a favor. Do me a favor? Do you paint houses, too? What is this, do me a favor?”

Pelosi was referring to the portion of the transcript in which Trump referred to investigating corruption within Ukraine.

But there’s a big difference: Trump said “us,” referring to the country, not “me,” referring to himself.
