House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is tiring of the Mean Girls caucus of Congress.

The drama continued today when Pelosi snapped at reporters asking about recent tweets by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib over a border bill and the positions of more moderate Democrats.

While fielding questions, Pelosi took one about Ocasio-Cortez and couldn’t hide her irritation.

“I’ve said what I’m going to say in the caucus,” Pelosi said, referring to a reportedly tense meeting among members yesterday.

“That’s where this is appropriate and I said what I’m going to say in the caucus. They took offense because I addressed — and the request of my members — an offensive tweet that came out of one of the members’ offices that referenced our Blue Dogs and our New Dems essentially as segregationists. Our members took offense at that. I addressed that. How they’re interpreting that and carrying it to another place, it up to them,” Pelosi said, in reference to Ocasio-Cortez’s assertion that Pelosi was “explicitly singling out of newly elected women of color.”

“But I’m not going to be discussing it any further,” she snapped.

The next reporter asked a related question, pointing out Pressley said Pelosi’s response was “demoralizing.”

The Speaker wouldn’t let the reporter finish the question, cutting her off.

“I’ve said what I’m going to say. With all due respect, I don’t know, maybe you didn’t hear what I said,” she snapped sarcastically.

“I said what I’m going to say on the subject,” she added.

After claiming “unity” in the Democrat caucus and warning reporters not to “waste your question,” an aide quickly called for the “last question” and Pelosi was whisked away, undoubtedly to prep for the next round of damage control triggered by another one of AOC’s hot takes.
