“I’d love to go high when they go low,” Perez said on “Newsmakers,” “that’s a wonderful aspiration.

“But look at what’s happening now,” he said, citing ICE seizing an illegal alien, and someone who now has Obamacare coverage.”

In other words, “No.”

“When we see so many people who benefited who are now in danger of suffering, the Republican party, the Republican leadership, is ruthless.

“I mean, they stopped Merrick Garland in his tracks and then they complain about the Democratic delay tactics,” Perez said.

“They did something unprecedented, and so while I would love to turn the other cheek, what I love more is, I need to make sure that we’re fightin’ for working families.”

Perez reiterated his anger over the weekend when he said Republicans don’t give a “shit” about people and that Donald Trump wasn’t really elected.
