If Bruce Roter has his way, the crookedest New York politicians would live in infamy at his planned “Museum of Political Corruption.”

The music professor College of Saint Rose wants to launch the museum in downtown Albany, the museum would provide visitors with “a fascinating, informative and irreverent journey through New York State’s “rich” history of political corruption. The Museum will feature interactive exhibits, offer lectures on political ethics, and serve as a sounding board for visitors to express their views,” according to its website.

The museum vows to “become one of upstate New York’s most visited tourist attractions.”

Plans include a “Hall of Shame,” a “Hall of Graft, Bribery, and Kickbacks,” and a “Hall of Nepotism.”

Roter recently named recent gubernatorial candidate Zephyr Teachout to the museum’s board of advisors, according to a press release.

“It’s all very exciting. … Her expertise and her energy will be invaluable to this project,”Roter tells the Times Union.

He’s also seeking to add Comedy Central host Jon Stewart to the museum’s board of directors.

“He might just do it, you never know. He called Albany a ‘Whitman’s Sampler of corruption’ — well, he can do something about it,” Roter says.

One of the museum’s star attractions could be information related to the fall of Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver.

The New York Times reports Silver is being charged by the federal government with using “his position as one of the most powerful politicians in the state to obtain millions of dollars in bribes and kickbacks.”

According to the Times Union, the museum “is in the process of transitioning to become a non-profit” and is now accepting pledges for future support.
