During a cordial exchange between Pope Francis and First Lady Melania Trump, the pontiff appeared to crack a joke at President Trump’s expense.
As the two shook hands, with the president standing nearby, the pope said through a translator, “What do you give him to eat, potizza?”

The first lady laughed and responded, “Yes.”
The president chuckled and smiled as the pontiff blessed Melania’s rosary.
Potizza is a “flaky pastry from Trieste in Friuli-Venezia Giulia made with yeast and filled with raisins, nuts and chocolate,” according to NittyGrits.org.
