A woman says her attacker said “all I want is sex,” as he attempted to rape her in a downtown Springfield, Missouri street over the weekend.
Police say Marvin Castellanos-Rivera, an illegal alien, “came up behind her, pushed her into a wall, grabbed her cell phone, covered her mouth, and held a knife to her throat,” KY 3 reports.
Castellanos allegedly dragged the woman into an alley.
According to a probable cause statement, she told police that her attacker punched her in the face and told her “don’t look at my face.” The woman said she begged the man not to rob her and he replied, “all I want is sex.” The man then pulled down her shorts.
A man allegedly intervened before the illegal could finish the deed.
“Castellanos denied this incident occurred and stated that he was inside Softails (bar) a majority of the night. Castellanos stated that the only time he was outside of the establishment was to smoke and he stood by his friend’s truck the entire time. During the interview, Castellanos was very concerned about being deported from the United States,” according to the probable cause statement.
“This defendant is clearly a threat to the community and this victim in particular. Defendant is also a flight risk; defendant told officers that he has been deported prior to this incident. Defendant stated that he was allowed to come back into the country for a month to take care of child support issues,” prosecutors wrote while arguing for $100,000 bond.
She died eight days later.
The prior day, Ramirez pleaded note guilty to attempted murder, first-degree burglary with person present, assault with intent to commit rape, sexual penetration by foreign object and resisting a peace officer,” according to the Santa Maria Times.
Police say he was found in another home he had broken into near Pharis’ house.
The illegal alien “had been arrested four times in the past by SMPD for minor crimes, most recently in May of 2014,” according to Santa Maria Police Chief Ralph Martin.
He was on probation at the time of the alleged attack. He’s also charged with violating probation.
