Something may seriously be wrong with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

While speaking with reporters on Wednesday morning, Pelosi visibly struggled to verbalize and explain a letter that she sent to President Donald Trump.

The California Democrat sent Trump a letter essentially disinviting him from delivering the State of the Union address on January 29 while the government is partially shutdown.

When asked about her scathing letter, Pelosi’s response was jumbled and all over the place. She was mumbling, speaking very low, and her voice sounded scratchy and raspy, like something was wrong with her.

It sounded like it was painful for her to explain to reporters why she was disinviting Trump from addressing the nation and claimed it was because of the “security concerns” that the State of the Union poses.

“We’ve never really had a State of the Union when government is in a shutdown since the Budget Act in the 70s,” Pelosi told reporters. “But that isn’t the point. The point is security.”

When asked if she would host the president in the Capitol building if Trump insisted on delivering the address as scheduled, the House Speaker bizarrely waved her hand in the air, blankly stared at the reporters, and continued to clear her throat to help make her voice clearer.

“That would be a security matter,” Pelosi said, completely brushing off the question.

In her letter to Trump, Pelosi makes it clear that Trump should postpone the address.

She also arrogantly offered Trump other options to address the nation, suggesting he submit his speech in writing or give it from the Oval Office.

“Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th,” Pelosi said in the letter.

And, of course, she blamed Trump for the partial government shutdown, which is nearing its fourth week.

The president has held numerous working lunches and meetings with congressional leaders to find a solution to reopen the government and provide funding for the border wall between the United States and Mexico.

Democrats have refused to even give $1 for the wall, over 30 Democrats spent the weekend vacationing in Puerto Rico, and the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives is scheduled to take an 11-day “break.”

Pelosi has also suggested paving roads near the borders so illegal aliens can enter the country.

This certainly appears to be a stunt by Pelosi to force Trump into signing a spending bill to reopen the government that allocates $0 in funding for the wall.

It’s unclear what Trump will decide to do, but there are serious questions about Pelosi’s health.

The 79-year-old progressive lawmaker has suffered countless brain freezes, malfunctions, and slurred her words while trying to answer basic questions.
