Socialist Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota believes President Trump is to blame for the recent deadly synagogue shooting in Poway, California and others like it, but she assured her disciples at a D.C. rally Tuesday that America “is not going to be the country of white people.”

“The thing that upsets the occupant of the White House, his goons in the Republican Party, and many of our colleagues in the Democratic Party, is that they can’t stand, they cannot stand, that a refugee, a black woman, an immigrant, a Muslim shows up in Congress thinking she’s equal to them,” Omar preached from behind a podium that read “Black Women in Defense of Progressive Women in Congress.”

Shouts, whoops and raised fists punctuated her remarks.

“The occupant of the White House … and his allies are doing everything that they can to distance themselves and misinform the public from the monsters that they created that is terrorizing the Jewish community and the Muslim community,” said Omar, one of two freshman Muslim women in Congress.

She then tied anti-Semitism to Islamophobia, attempting to dissolve criticism about her aggressive and offensive remarks against Jews. Omar drew condemnation from lawmakers on both sides of aisle recently after she insinuated Jews control the U.S. government through political contributions, and she’s consistently critical of Israel and its relationship with America.

More recently, Omar seemingly dismissed the September 11 terrorist attacks that killed thousands of Americans as “some people did something” during a speech at the Council on American Islamic Relations, prompting President Trump to share a video of her remarks on Twitter that Omar claims incited a flood of violent threats.

“When we are talking about anti-Semitism, we must also talk about Islamophobia. Is two sides of the same coin of bigotry,” Omar argued in D.C. “What we are fighting for is not for the few but for the many. …”

“When we’ve had the attack in California on a synagogue it’s the same person accused of attempting to bomb a mosque,” she claimed. “So I can’t ever speak of Islamophobia and fight for Muslims if I am not willing to fight against anti-Semitism.”

“This is not going to be the country of the xenophobics. This is not going to be the country of white people. This is not going to be the country of the few,” she said. “This is the country of the many.”

The D.C. rally was sponsored by M4BL, also known as “The Movement For Black Lives.”

M4BL is a “collective of more than 50 organizations representing thousands of Black people from across the country” that blossomed from the racial strife during President Obama’s tenure. It’s essentially an umbrella organization for Black Lives Matter, Organization for Black Struggle, The Worker’s Center for Racial Justice, and numerous other social justice, immigration and socialist groups.

The purpose is to promote a platform with very specific demands for lawmakers to take action for the “collective liberation” of all of America’s “oppressed people.”

Those specific demands include an end to the current criminal justice and law enforcement system, including the elimination of jails, fines, court fees, detention centers, youth facilities and immigration courts.

The group wants to remove resource officers from schools, and end zero-tolerance policies, and to divert funding for police to “restorative services.”

In addition, M4BL believes all black and brown people in the United States, including illegal immigrants and those currently incarcerated, deserve 100 percent free education from kindergarten through higher education or technical trade programs, as well as all expenses paid living that covers housing, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and food, according to the group’s website.

There’s also a demand for universal basic income with no work requirements, along with a special bonus, just for black folks.

“The revenue saved from divesting in criminal justice institutions could be pooled into a fund for (universal basic income); this revenue could be earmarked for the ‘PLUS’ aspect of the policy that would be targeted toward Black Americans,” according to M4BL.

“If combined with other funds, it would effectively function as reparations, in a grand bargain with white America: All would benefit, but those who suffered through slavery and continuing racism would benefit slightly more.”

Slavery was abolished in America in 1865.
