CSPAN’s Book TV is usually a venue for docile academics waxing eloquent about heady topics.

This weekend’s edition featured a bitter Hillary Clinton — still smarting nearly one year after her defeat by Donald Trump and doing little to hide it.

Appearing with Steve Scully, Clinton ranted about the Russians, WikiLeaks and several others she blamed for the loss.

While Hillary took the blame in her book, she’s apparently changed her mind.

“I go back over my own shortcomings and the mistakes we made. I take responsibility for all of them. You can blame the data, blame the message, blame anything you want, but I was the candidate,” Clinton writes.

But this weekend, she went on a stem winder about other culprits, at one point even saying “if” she blames herself and her campaign.

She complained about what she thought was a lack of coverage by the mainstream media of Trump’s “Access Hollywood” tape.

Hillary deemed the Republicans’ convention “dark and divisive.”

She said her plans got no coverage, while the media relentlessly covered Trump.

After crediting Trump with his ability to “capture and hold” TV coverage, she said, “And then if you combine that with the help that they were getting from the Russians which had two objectives: To lift up him and tear me down.

“In order to tear me down, they had to lie about me, which they did persistently,” she claims.

“They had to convince people who otherwise would have voted for me, not to because they came up with wild, exaggerated fables about me. That was all going underground in a very effective way,” Hillary says.

“IF I fault me and my campaign, it’s that I don’t think that we understood as well as we should and now I hope candidates in the future will,” she tells Scully.

She claims WikiLeaks releases were “totally made up.”

Hillary tells CSPAN she knows the culprit of all the shenanigans.

“We know from the intelligence that has been gathered, Putin directed it,” Clinton says.

“Putin said ‘We’re going after her. I don’t want her to be president. If she makes it anyway, I want her to be damaged,’ because lookit, I stood up to him when I was Secretary of State,” according to Hillary.

She added Putin is “a pretty clear exhibit of sexism.”
