An investigation into a car striking a special needs child led detectives to make a grisly discovery: “containers of human tissue.”

West Bloomfield, Michigan police say they found 14 “containers of human tissue, possibly fetuses, medical equipment and large amounts of fentanyl in the trunk of OB/GYN Michael Roth,” WWMT reports.

After Roth’s car allegedly hit the child, his car was impounded.

Detectives were looking for the “black box” data recorder in the trunk for details on the crash when they came upon the stash.

Police say the containers were not labeled and there were no records in the car. They’re now in the possession of the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office, ABC 7 reports.

According to Life News, “Roth’s abortion business, the Novi Laser and Aesthetic Center, was evicted in November 2014 from its second office space this year.

“That Michael Roth would be performing illegal abortions–either in his home, or even in the homes of women–shows the despicable,sordid practice that is abortion,” Monica Migliorino Miller of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society tells the news site.

“It also shows that Roth as an abortionist did not really care about the health and safety of women–as these abortions were not taking place in safe, sterile environments.”

“Roth has a long history of violations, including two previous at-home abortions he performed in 1998 and 1999,” Right to Life of Michigan says. “Right to Life of Michigan released a report in 2012, Abortion Abuses and State Regulatory Agency Failure, featuring several of Roth’s violations. In addition to his at-home abortions, Roth was disciplined in 2002 for drug-related violations, including prescribing drugs without a license. He was disciplined in 2004 for violating patient consent laws and was accused of falsifying medical records by a former employee.”
