A stunning new poll may turn the 2016 race for president on its head.

Pundits and the mainstream have led many to conclude that Donald Trump’s positions on illegal immigration and building a wall on the southern border would alienate Hispanic voters.

They seem to be anything but.

One America News Network commissioned its first general election poll and found nationally, Donald Trump is two points behind Hillary Clinton, 51% to 49%.

But a deeper look into the numbers shows Trump is actually winning among Hispanic voters, 55% to 45%.

OAN has the breakdown:

If the poll is accurate, the election could be as good as over.

By comparison, Mitt Romney only received 27% of the Hispanic vote in 2012, according to the Roper Center. Barack Obama got 71%.

Trump is besting Romney’s result by a full 28 points.

The OAN poll also finds Trump leads among evangelical Christian voters, by a staggering 81% to 19%.

That’s similar to 2012, when Romney received 79% of the evangelical vote. It’s up significantly from John McCain’s 73% share in 2008, according to Hot Air.

The OAN poll, conducted by Gravis Marketing on May 10, was among 1,500 registered voters, and the survey includes 40% Democrats, 33% Republicans and 27% independents. It has an overall margin of error of +/- 2.5%.
