President-elect Donald Trump addressed House Speaker Paul Ryan at his West Allis, Wisconsin “Thank You Tour” rally on Wednesday, but it was unclear whether he was in agreement — or issuing a promise to a hostile ally.

“Speaker Paul Ryan,” Trump began as booed grew. “I’ve really come to appre… — oh, no, I’ve come to appreciate him.

“Paul Ryan has been terrific. He’s like a fine wine, every day that goes by I get to appreciate his genius more and more.”

Trump continued, “We have some amazing things in store.

“We’re going to work on taxes. We’re going to work on Obamacare. We’re going to work on things,” he said as the crowd began shouting, “the wall!”

“We’re going to work on the wall, Paul,” Trump said, looking at Ryan, as the audience responded with cheers.
