Some people just want the world to burn.

A man wearing a “Free Hugs” t-shirt became the enemy after he hugged a police officer.

Police officers standing in riot gear in Charlotte, North Carolina embraced the man after he approached them.

One officer hugged him and he shook hands with another.

But agitators began berating him.

“It’s not like that, it’s about staying neutral. That’s what’s important,” the man said.

After one man shouted expletives incoherently, the man pointed at the officers and said, “Did he kill somebody?”

“Did he kill somebody?” pointing to another.

After agitators continued to shout at him, he said pointing to the police, “The thing is, I see them as human beings just like I see everybody on this side as human beings.

“This uniform doesn’t make him a robot, just like your skin color doesn’t make you a criminal,” he said, pointing to one of the protesters.

“This man (an officer) gave me a hug and this man wants to fight me because of that.

“How does that make sense? Spreading more hate into the world, that’s what’s frustrating me.”
