Vice President-elect Mike Pence was looking for some quality entertainment in New York City on Friday night, and instead, he ended up getting a lecture from the cast.

Pence attended the popular “Hamilton: An American Musical” and at the conclusion of the show, cast member Brandon Victor Dixon called Pence out by name as he was exiting the theater and urged him to stay to hear his speech.

“Thank you for joining us at Hamilton: An American Musical. We are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir,” Dixon said, pointing his finger at Pence.

“We truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values, and work on behalf of all of us, all of us,” he concluded, standing frozen, staring at Pence.

It’s not clear which “inalienable rights” Dixon believes Pence would harm.

After the lecture, Dixon told Broadway.com, “When we first got the call that he was coming, there was certainly a question of what we would do,” Dixon said. “These are the opportunities that you die for.”

The cast and producers of “Hamilton” were fervent supporters of Hillary Clinton, so it’s not surprising they would end the show by singling out Pence and lecturing him.

The cast even participated in at least two fundraisers for the eventual loser.

“I hope he thinks of us every time he has to deal with an issue or talk about a bill or present anything,” Dixon said.

Video shows Pence was booed as he made his way into the theater, as well.
