The only things standing in the way of Congressman Darrell Issa’s escape from a testy Oceanside, California town hall meeting were two protesters.

As Issa attempted to flee the scene where liberal groups organized a rowdy opposition, he was blocked by two women holding signs.

“Do your job!” the pair chanted as Issa’s car attempted to enter the roadway.

“I say no and you represent me! I say no!” one woman said.

As the pair continued to yell at the car, Issa’s driver laid on the horn.

“Do not pass the bill,” one of them shouted as she held a sign reading, “Everyone is welcome here.”

Eventually a fed up driver ran over and grabbed one of their signs and threw it up in the air.

Alas, they wouldn’t stop blocking Issa’s car, which snarled traffic.

Inside, in a moment opposition organizers would surely say was unplanned, a 10-year-old boy asked Issa if he would “guarantee” that the boy would have “affordable healthcare.”

The LA Times reports:

In Oceanside, before taking the stage in front of a crowd of 500 constituents, Issa spoke with a few people, including a 10-year-old Orange County boy who asked whether Issa would guarantee that he would have affordable healthcare.

Issa told the boy he’d asked the question “exactly” the right way, noting that the child used the word “affordable.” He promised healthcare would be a topic of discussion at future town halls.
