House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff was getting coffee Wednesday when a Trump-supporting heckler decided to read him his Miranda rights.
America’s Voice News “journalist” Ben Bergquam has been milling around the Capitol to offer House Democrats a perspective from Trump supporters on the impeachment proceedings, and he recently caught up with Schiff – one of his favorite targets – in the cafeteria of the Longworth Building.
“When this fails to impact the president like you guys expect it to, what are the Democrats going to do next?” Bergquam asked Schiff as the two walked into the cafeteria.
“I’m sorry, I don’t have time for your interview today, but thanks anyway,” Schiff said with a smile.
“When you’re brought up for treason, what is your response going to be then?” Bergquam pressed.
The California Congressman was silent.
“Sir, you’re going to hear these words later, but you might as well hear them now: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, you will be provided with one,” he said.
“Do you understand these rights as I’ve cited them to you?” Bergquam questioned.
He didn’t bother to get a response.
“Adam Schiff everybody. Guys, the Democrats are committing treason,” Bergquam continued. “This is the shame. He doesn’t have time for my questions, but right now what we have going on in our country is an attack on our sovereignty. And it’s time all Americans stand up against it.”

In a different video, a MAGA hat-wearing Bergquam intercepted Schiff between buildings, where he posed a few questions Trump supporters would like to know.
“You liked about Russia. You liked about Ukraine. What are you going to do when the Deep State can’t protect you anymore?” he asked.
“Have a nice day,” Schiff replied.
“Why are you attacking Trump with baseless allegations? Is this all political? Is this all political?” Bergquam persisted.
“Have a nice day, sir,” Schiff replied as he slipped inside.
Afterwards, Bergquam celebrated the ambush.
“Yes!” he said, pumping his fist and offering a thumbs-up. “Scumbag.”
“Adam Schiff, everybody,” he said to the cameraman.
“Give me some! Give me some right now!” he said as the two high-fived.
“He needed that question asked to him,” Bergquam said. “He lied about Russia, lied about Ukraine, what’s he going to do when the deep state can’t protect him anymore?
“It’s time to start investigating the criminal politicians that have broken their oath to our country,” he opined.
