In 2009, House Democrats took special care to remind members about the proper way to address the president, offering a primer on rules that prohibited Republicans from disparaging President Obama.

Fast forward a decade, and House Democrats are now pushing an official resolution to disparage President Trump as a racist who “legitimized fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color.”

Then House Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter released “a helpful, updated primer” for members in August 2009 that reminded Republicans it’s a violation of House rules to describe the president as a “liar” or “hypocrite,” or to describe any veto as “cowardly,” Politico reported at the time.

The friendly reminder also stipulated Republicans could not claim Obama was “intellectually dishonest” or refer to him “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.” Nor could Republicans cite alleged “sexual misconduct on the president’s part,” according to the guidelines.

Those rules seem to no longer apply, with the same House speaker who enforced the policy to protect Obama now endorsing a resolution to antagonize and personally disparage President Trump.

The resolution “strongly condemns President Donald Trump’s racist comments that have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color by saying that our fellow Americans who are immigrants, and those who may look to the President like immigrants, should ‘go back’ to other countries, by referring to immigrants and asylum seekers as ‘invaders,’ and by saying that Members of Congress who are immigrants (or those of our colleagues who are wrongly assumed to be immigrants) do not belong in Congress or in the United States of America,” NBC News reports.

The comments follow a back and forth Twitter war between the president and Justice Democrats, four socialist freshmen minority members of the House that include the first two Muslim women in Congress.

Trump took issue with the women incessantly complaining about the country and comparing migrant detention centers on the border for those who cross into the country illegally with Nazi death camps specifically designed to murder millions during World War II.

Justice Democrats refer to the migrant centers as “concentration camps” and regularly push the narrative that Trump and anyone who supports him promote white supremacy and oppress minorities. The group’s defacto leader, Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also recently accused House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of racism, as well.

Trump wrote in a Twitter post Sunday that Justice Democrats “who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run.

“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!” Trump tweeted.

Omar is a refugee from Somalia, while Tlaib is Palestinian.

The remarks sparked outrage among Democrats and heated responses from the socialist House members, followed by the official resolution on Tuesday.

Trump, meanwhile, has insisted that he’s not racist, but has steadfastly refused to back down from his attacks against Justice Democrats and continues to highlight their hateful rhetoric against the country and its allies.

“We will never be a Socialist or Communist Country. IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY HERE, YOU CAN LEAVE! It is your choice, and your choice alone. This is about love for America. Certain people HATE our Country,” Trump tweeted Monday. “They are anti-Israel, pro Al-Quaeda, and comment on the 9/11 attack, ‘some people did something.’ Radical Left Democrats want Open Borders, which means drugs, crime, human trafficking, and much more.

“Detention facilities are not Concentration Camps!” Trump tweeted. “America has never been stronger than it is now – rebuilt Military, highest Stock Market EVER, lowest unemployment and more people working than ever before. Keep America Great!”

Trump made it clear on Monday, as Democrats introduced the resolution against him, that Pelosi’s hand-holding with Justice Democrats doesn’t exactly hurt his feelings.

“Those Tweets were NOT Racist. I don’t have a Racist bone in my body! The so-called vote to be taken is a Democrat con game. … This should be a vote on the filthy language, statements and lies told by the Democrat Congresswomen, who I truly believe, based on their actions, hate our Country,” Trump wrote.

“Get a list of the HORRIBLE things they have said. Omar is polling at 8%, Cortez at 21%. Nancy Pelosi tried to push them away, but now they are forever wedded to the Democrat Party. See you in 2020!”
