A sneering Democrat Rep. Luis Gutierrez couldn’t be bothered to stay for a response to his diatribe against President Trump on Thursday.

Gutierrez ranted about Trump’s immigration policy, claiming the president would have killed baby Jesus.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing with Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on Thursday, Gutierrez bellowed, “It is repugnant to me, and astonishing to me that during Christmas — I have to call them the holiday season to be inclusive — but during Christmas, the majority always just wants to call it Christmas,” he raged.

“That during Christmas,” he continued, “a time in which we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. A Jesus Christ who had to flee for his life with Mary and Joseph. Thank God there wasn’t a wall that stopped him from seeking refuge in Egypt,” he yelled as Nielsen took notes.

“Thank God that wall wasn’t there! And thank God there wasn’t an administration like this or he too would have perished…”

“Maybe I haven’t gone to lots of Bible school, but I know that part,” Gutierrez boasted.

(Earth to Luis: King Herod was actually killing children. Trump is not.)

“Thank God! Shame on everybody that separates children and allows them to stay on the other side of the border, fearing death, fearing hunger, fearing sickness,” he pontificated as Nielsen adjusted her chair.

“Shame on us for wearing our badge of Christianity during Christmas and allow the Secretary to come here and lie,” he sneered.

“Calling me a liar are fighting words,” Nielsen responded.

“I’m not a liar. We’ve never had a policy of family separation. I’m happy to walk the gentleman through it again,” she continued.

“A policy of family separation would mean any family that I encountered in the interior, I would separate. It would mean that any family that I found at a port of entry, I would separate,” Nielsen said.

“It would mean that every single family that I found illegally crossing, we would separate,” she continued, as C-SPAN cameras showed him getting up and walking out of the room.

“We did none of those. What we did do was uphold the laws that Congress has passed and we prosecuted those who chose to come here illegally.

“As far as not being compassionate, let me tell you what I have done,” she said, realizing Gutierrez was no longer gracing her with his presence.

“Of course, he couldn’t be bothered to stay, so I’m happy to tell the rest of the committee,” Nielsen continued.

Gutierrez has a history of being triggered, then fleeing.

During President Trump’s State of the Union address earlier this year, as applause broke out, so did chants of “USA! USA! USA!”

Gutierrez left his seat as several Democrats patted him on the arm as he retreated to a safe space.
