Rumored 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden used Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to lecture “white America” about its apparent unwillingness to see that it collectively protects a racist system.

Speaking to Al Sharpton’s National Action Network in Washington, D.C. this morning, Biden used the opportunity to browbeat whites.

“We have a lot to root out, but most of all the systematic racism that most of us whites don’t like to acknowledge even exists,” Biden said, adding it’s been built into “every” aspect of our system.

After saying a “Jim” is more likely to get a job over a “Jamal,” Biden said, “There’s something we have to admit—not you, we, white America—has to admit there’s still a systematic racism.”

Potential rival Bernie Sanders also used the day to go on the attack.

“Today we say to Donald Trump: We are not going back to more bigotry, discrimination and division,” Sanders said at a frosty NAACP rally in South Carolina.

“We are going forward toward a non-discriminatory society where, as Dr. King reminded us, we judge people not by the ‘color of their skin, but by the content of their character,’ ” the socialist said.

Sanders also claimed that Trump has “purposely and aggressively attempted to divide us up by the color of our skin, by our gender, by our nationality, by our religion and by our sexual orientation.”
