A woman who stood up and cheered a convicted — and admitted — child rapist is now the guiding light for Trump opponents everywhere.

Hollywood snob Meryl Streep used the Golden Globes awards ceremony to look down her nose at Donald Trump and middle America.

“Hollywood is crawling with outsiders and foreigners and if we kick them all out, you’ll have nothing to watch but football and mixed martial arts, which are not the arts,” Streep said to “huge applause” from her colleagues, according to CNN.

It’s not clear who said anything about kicking anybody out of anywhere, but when your living is pretending to be other people, it’s easy to see how make-believe can become your reality.

It wasn’t so long ago Streep jumped to her feet to give convicted child rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation, Twitchy reports.

In 2003, Polanski won the Best Director Oscar for “The Pianist.”

Polanski wasn’t in attendance to accept his Oscar because he was living in Switzerland — and out of the reach of U.S. extradition.

The New York Daily News explained Polanski’s 1978 deeds:

The French-born director, who fled the United States in 1978 after a highly publicized sexual assault case, has for the first time publicly apologized to the victim of his attack.

“She is a double victim: my victim, and a victim of the press,” the 78-year-old filmmaker said of Samantha Geimer, who was a 13-year-old model when Polanski, then 43, drugged and raped her.

When he made the declaration, Polanski was on camera. His confession was part of filmmaker Laurent Bouzereau‘s “Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir,” a documentary that premiered Tuesday at the Zurich Film Festival, according to ABC News.

And now sympathizer Streep is the face of the Trump opposition?
