New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is seeing through the “drummed up” issue of a handful of his players opting to not accept to visit the White House and President Donald Trump.

Kraft was asked twice today about the so-called controversy during appearances on NBC’s “Today” and Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria.”

With the Vince Lombardi trophy sitting in front of him, “Today” host Matt Lauer focused on the story cooked up by a salivating anti-Trump media.

“Has your relationship with Donald Trump in any way strained your relationship with some of your players, who, by the way, some say they don’t want to go to the White House to celebrate this win,” Lauer said.

“This is our fifth Super Bowl in the last 16 years, and every time we have the privilege of going to the White House, a dozen of our players don’t go,” Kraft responded.

“This is the first time it’s gotten any media attention.”

He noted some player go in college when they’re a part of a championship team and others have scheduling conflicts.

He added, “This is America. We’re all free to do what’s best for us.”

On Fox Business, he answered similarly, except he called the kerfuffle “drummed up.”

“You might just ask, ‘why is that?’ And, is an issue trying to be drummed up?” Kraft wondered.
